Vacation Bible School
Come and join us for some creative fun as we get ready for VBS in June. We will meet on Wednesday from 9a12p. May 28, June 4, June 11. The theme is Beach Party!
Vacation Bible School is June 23-27, 2008.

Mother's Day Exhibit
On Mother's Day Woodland Chapel will put on a visual presentation of mother's and their children/ grandchildren. Please bring your favorite picture of you mother and yourself or children to be included in the Mother's Day exhibit. Please mark your photographs and leave them in the church office before May 1st. You can pick them up after Mother's Day. We will be doing the same thing for Father's Day... so all you dads and grandparents... bring pictures of you and your dad or you and your kids and drop them off in the church office!

144 Hours of Prayer
Please join us in praying for Glad Tidings and Woodland Chapel. We begin the prayer vigil on the day of Pentecost. It will run May11,2008 through May 17, 2008. Remember to sign the prayer charts. Request sheets are available in the church narthex.

Contact Signed!
The formal contact to purchase Glad Tidings facility has been signed. The moving date is fluid and will take place between September 25, 2008 and December 2, 2008.

Lunch with Jesus has a NEW LOOK!
Lunch with Jesus is "Praying for Woodland"! This lunch is now for ALL members, young and old, male or female!! We will be interceding for our new move to Glad Tidings church. Please come join us on the 1ST AND 3RD TUESDAY of each month, at noon to worship and pray together for Woodland Chapel. We need as many people as we can get! And don't forget to BRING YOUR LUNCH when you drop by to pray for our church! NOON in SANCTUARY!!

Young Adult Class - YAC - New Class & New Location
"An Ordinary Day with Jesus" - by John Ortberg and Ruth Haley Barton is the study for YAC! This class will now be meeting in the Living Room of the manse (the house where Jack and Berta live).

Parenting: The Early Years
There is a new DVD series on Parenting: The Early Years (10 Biblical traits your kids will remember you for). It is very helpful in learning how to parent these small children of God. In 6 sessions, Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott will take you through a parenting approach you won't find in any other parenting source. In reality TV style, take a sneak peek at the real-life parenting moments and vulnerable questions from 20 families. Discover 10 Biblical traits that will make you a better person and a better parent. Then, begin to intenionally pass on key traits to your kids. This is set up for small groups. Anyone who might be interested in starting a small group or be a part of one, please contact Berta Pizer at 428-8839.

Mission Trip News!
The Youth Mission Trip for 2008 will be to Oceana, West Virginia from July 13-19, 2008.  The cost will be $380 per person.  A deposit of $50 is required along with the required paperwork by November 5th.  If you have questions call Gay Helgemo or the church office.
